My journey through learning Spanish was fun, exciting and very challenging. It added an additional page to my book of learning experience.
The contents of this course was very clear, informative and accurate. I gained new knowledge of information that I probably took for granted in the past. I was also made aware of the many Spanish speaking countries that surround Guyana and their many unique culture.
The use of the computer was a positive and modern way of learning. The usage of the computer helped me to better myself at the computer. Some of the many tasks that were assigned to me were challenging and very informative. For instance if the lecturer was unable to be in class due to some unexpected circumstances. The tasks were always on the internet, so that we as students were always occupied and busy.
My feeling for this course is that Spanish is fast becoming a language that is compulsory to the many English speaking countries of the Caribbean. It is a little difficult learning; because Spanish people roll their tongues and we Guyanese speak slowly and cannot roll our tongues. Even though Spanish is a little difficult to learn and speak for the English natives, it can be fun and rewarding to learn.
My current feelings about the semester is that Spanish is a very demanding and all working subject, but I have been given the opportunity to learn, know and be exposed to a different language. The element that was responsible for my feelings were the amount of tasks that were assigned to the class and the many late nights that were spend on the computer.
One thing that stand out about the process is the use of the computer with included the many sites, that were introduced by my lecturer
.
My overall impression about the semester is that it is very clear, inactive and informative. I always enjoy Ms.V Wilburg class and intend to continue.
My recommendation towards Spanish is that more computers can be put in place, so that students can better conduct their projects. Also students should spend more time on spanish and try to embrace it as threir second language.
